The average health insurance premium rises by 5.0 % in 2027 to CHF 412.00 a month (FOPH). For adults it rises by CHF 22.80 (4.9 %) to CHF 487.60, for young adults by CHF 15.40 (4.8 %) to CHF 338.80 and for children by CHF 5.70 (4.6 %) to CHF 128.10. Adult premiums rise most in Jura, Schaffhausen and Appenzell Inner Rhodes (each +5.9 %) and least in Glarus (+2.7 %). Switching insurer often more than offsets the rise.
