Which prices are used?
For the car, the Federal Statistical Office's official Swiss average price of unleaded 95 or diesel (monthly figure). For the electric car, your commune's household tariff from the Federal Electricity Commission. These are average or standard values; your station or tariff may differ.
Are parking, depreciation and insurance included?
No. The calculator shows only the energy cost of the journey, because official prices exist for that. Other car costs depend on your vehicle.
Why no price for public transport?
Ticket and pass prices are not available as open official data, so we show the journey time from the Swiss timetable.
