What is the tax multiplier?
The multiplier is a factor: the canton and the commune levy a multiple (mostly in percent) of the simple tax given by the cantonal tariff. A lower multiplier means lower tax on the same income, but only within the same canton.
Where is the multiplier lowest?
See the table, sorted by multiplier, lowest first.
Can multipliers be compared between cantons?
No. Each canton has its own base tariff. For comparisons across cantons, the tax comparison shows the tax in francs for every commune.
